01 Day : Arrival Delhi
After breakfast, check out the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. After relaxation take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandni Chowk, the city tour continues covering New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India's leading industrial families; Humayun's Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai's Temple, Qutub Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty. Overnight at the hotel.
02 Day: Delhi - Leh (By Air)
Early morning check out the hotel and transfer to airport to board the flight for Leh. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. The day at leisure for acclimatization. Leh is the Headquarter of Leh District and the largest Town in Ladakh region. It is located to the north of Indus River at an altitude of 11,500 ft. After some relaxation you can visit Sankar, Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace, these are a couple of kms away from Leh. Sankar Monastery belongs to the Gelukpa School of Tibetan Buddhism and is a branch of Spituk Monastery. Shanti Stupa at the Hilltop was built by the Japanese for World peace, which was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama in 1985. Leh Palace nine-story palace, was built by King Singey Namgyal in the beginning of 17 century AD. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
03 Day: Leh
After breakfast full day excursion of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis and Stok. Shey is 15 Kms south of Leh and was the seat of power of the first King of Ladakh who constructed the hilltop Fortress. The ruin Fort can be seen above the present Shey Palace. Shey Palace was built in the beginning of 17th Century AD. The main image in the monastery is the three storey image of Buddha Sakyamuni made of copper gilt. Thiksey Monastery is further 3 Kms from Shey and is the most beautiful of all the monasteries in Ladakh. Hemis monastery is further 30 Kms from Thiksey, built in 1630 and is one of the most famous, largest and richest monasteries in Ladakh. Stok is 14 kms south east of Leh where the present day Royal family resides. Stok Palace and museum built in 1825 has a collection of royal dresses, King's crown and many other interesting antiques items etc which is open for visitors. Later return to Leh for overnight stay.
04 Day: Leh - Saspol (65 kms: 4 hrs)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Saspol. Enroute visit Likir gompa. On arrival, transfer to the resort. Later visit Alchi gompa and village. Dinner and overnight at the resort.
05 Day: Leh - Lamayuru - Leh (Excursion 175 kms: 7 hrs)
After early breakfast leave for Lamayuru with box lunch. Visit monastery and retrace the route back to Leh. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
06 Day: Leh - Nubra (125 kms: 6 - 7 hrs)
Early morning drive from Leh to Nubra, the valley lies in the north of Leh and is accessible over the Khardungla (5570 M) - The highest motorable road in the world. The valley is on trade route from Leh to Kyagar via Saser and Karakoram passes. Apart from unparalleled trekking opportunities the valley houses several Monasteries such as sumur (khagar) and 350 years old Dikshit Gompa, famous for its Murals. From Khardungla drive to village of Khardung and through starkly beautiful country side to the TCP at khalsar where permits have to be registered/checked. On arrival, transfer to the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
07 Day: Nubra - Leh (125 kms: 6 - 7 hrs)
After breakfast leave for Leh with picnic/pack lunch. Apart from unparalleled trekking opportunities, the valley has several Buddhists monasteries such as Sumor, Tigar and 350 years old Diskit monastery. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
08 Day: Leh - Delhi: (By Air)
After breakfast, check out the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping in the colourful markets of Delhi. In the evening you can visit to see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort.Overnight at the hotel.
09 Day: Delhi - Hometown (By Air)
After breakfast, morning is free for individual activities. Later check out of the hotel and drive to the airport to board the flight to hometown. Tour concludes here with happy memories.
