01 Day : Arrival Delhi
Assistance on arrival by Indira Gandhi International Airport and transfer to the hotel, all the documents and domestic tickets will be handed over to you. Rest and overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
02 Day: Delhi - Leh (By Air)
Today morning after breakfast, check out the hotel and transfer to the domestic airport to board the flight to Leh. Assistance on arrival at Leh, our representative assists and escorts you by a private car and transfer to the pre-booked hotel. The day at leisure for acclimatization. Leh is the Headquarter of Leh District and the largest Town in Ladakh region. It is located to the north of Indus River at an altitude of 11,500 ft. After some relaxation you can visit Sankar, Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace, these are a couple of kms away from Leh. Sankar Monastery belongs to the Gelukpa School of Tibetan Buddhism and is a branch of Spituk Monastery. Shanti Stupa at the Hilltop was built by the Japanese for World peace, which was inaugurated by the Dalai Lama in 1985. Leh Palace nine-story palace, was built by King Singey Namgyal in the beginning of 17 century AD. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
03 Day: Leh
After breakfast take a full day excursion of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis and Stok. Shey is 15 Kms south of Leh and was the seat of power of the first King of Ladakh who constructed the hilltop Fortress. The ruin Fort can be seen above the present Shey Palace. Shey Palace was built in the beginning of 17th Century AD. The main image in the monastery is the three storey image of Buddha Sakyamuni made of copper gilt. Thiksey Monastery is further 3 kms from Shey and is the most beautiful of all the monasteries in Ladakh. Hemis monastery is further 30 kms from Thiksey, built in 1630 and is one of the most famous, largest and richest monasteries in Ladakh. Stok is 14 kms south east of Leh where the present day Royal family resides. Stok Palace and museum built in 1825 has a collection of royal dresses, King's crown and many other interesting antiques items etc which is open for visitors. Later return to Leh for overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
04 Day: Leh
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Leh, visiting Fort Road & Chanspa market. also visit Moti bazaar, is the best option for milk foodstuffs. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
05 Day: Leh - Ule (160 kms: 4 - 5 hrs)
After Breakfast drive to Ule, en route visit to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic Hill and enjoy the view of Sangam, a confluence of Indus and Zangskar river, Alchi Monastery. Later proceed to Ule, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Evening free time at leisure by spending time on banks of Indus River. Dinner and overnight at the Ule hotel.
06 Day: Ule - Dhahanu - Kargil (180 kms: 6 -7 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to Kargil, Enroute visit Dhahanu, is the place in Leh-Ladakh where the Drokpa people live. These people are culturally and racially different from rest of the inhabitants of the area. Dah and Beema are the two villages in this area which are extensively inhabited by Drokpa people. Later proceed to Kargil, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Kargil.
07 Day: Kargil - Rangdum (130 kms: 8 - 9 hrs)
Early Morning drive to Rangdum, Rangdum is in a valley situated 3,657 m (11,998 ft) above the sea level, in an isolated region of the Suru valley arrive and transfer to the Hotel. Visit a spectacular drive past Panikar and Parkachik, with magnificent views of the Nun and Kun massifs (7000 meters), hanging glaciers and large meadows. Later drive to Rangdum Gompa and stay there for the night. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
08 Day: Rangdum - Padum (103 kms: 7 - 8hrs)
Morning after Breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Padum, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
09 Day: Padum
After breakfast Sightseeing tour to Padum, This south-west of Leh region is at an altitude of 13,154 ft. and an area of 5000 sq. km. It is famous for its rugged terrains, rivers and glaciers that make it inaccessible for nearly seven months. Karsha, Stongdey & Sani. Most isolated of all the trans-Himalayan valleys of Ladakh, Zanskar is home to a well-preserved untouched Buddhist heritage & culture with many of its ancient monasteries still religiously active. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
10 Day: Padum - Rangdum (103 kms: 7 - 8 hrs)
Morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive to on arrival transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
11 Day: Rangdum - Kargil (127 kms: 4 - 5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Kargil. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Kargil is located in proximity to the Line of Control or LOC with Pakistan and looks onto the valley of Kashmir. The place was the centre for the Kargil War or Kargil conflict that took place during 1999 between India and Pakistan. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
12 Day: Kargil - Srinagar (205 kms: 7 hrs)
Morning after Breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Srinagar. On arrival transfer to Houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay at houseboat.
13 Day: Srinagar
Today early morning take a Shikara Ride early morning to explore the floating market of Dal Lake; you may also opt for fishing during your stay at the houseboat. Later visit the Mughal Gardens built by Jehangir - the Shalimar Baugh and Nishat Baugh are beautiful gardens located to the far eastern side of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background, visiting also Chashmi-e Shahi. One can take a stroll amongst these green and attractive gardens and enjoy the waterworks within. Enroute visit a carpet- weaving factory. Evening lake trip to 'Char Chinar' i.e. four big Chinar trees standing in middle of the whole lake, 'Floating Gardens' & interesting canals by a luxurious Shikara. Dinner and overnight at the houseboat.
14 Day: Srinagar - Delhi (By Air)
Today morning after breakfast, check out the hotel and transfer to the domestic airport to board the flight, assistance on arrival at Delhi and transfer to the hotel, after relaxation you may opt to visit most famous Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, showcasing 10000 years of Indian glorious art, culture and harmony of mankind. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
15 Day: Delhi - Hometown (By Air)
After breakfast sightseeing tour you may opt of your choice of places to visit: Old Delhi: (Shahajahanabad) the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest and most splendid mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat, memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where he was cremated. Later in you opt cycle rickshaw ride past through the bustling and colorful bazaar of Chandani Chowk. The sightseeing continue to explore the best tourist attractions of New Delhi include President House (Rashtrapati Bhawan), the regal residence of British rulers, a palace built for British Viceroys. India gate, this monument was built to honour and tribute to the Indian soldiers, sacrificed themselves during the Afghan war, then visiting Birla Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple) built by wealthiest Birla family. Humayun's Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai's Temple, Qutub Minar: built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening witness the light and sound show at Red fort. In the evening check out the hotel and transfer to the international airport to board the scheduled, on departure, the tour concludes with the happy memories.
